Requisition Summary

Under the direction of the Lancaster PDC Manager, manages PDC inventory, supports the Division-wide vendor compliance program through learning, teaching, and application of sound vendor compliance techniques.  Supports the division cycle count program, develop PDC comprehensive Quality goals and measurements, and obtain system enhancements to improve quality efforts for the inbound/outbound area.  Responsible for the direct supervision of quality associate shop employees.


Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Manages the vendor compliance program to assure shipping, vendor compliance database work, receiving and all associated activities are performed efficiently and accurately.  Coordinates training and standard operating procedures for all PDC’S regarding vendor compliance.  Accesses the vendor compliance audit processes and provides feedback to management for follow-up action.
  • Serves as quality liaison with Marketing, Materials, Traffic, inbound/outbound, other PDC’s and suppliers, assuring compliance issues are followed through to resolution.
  • Manages the inventory control activities to include shipping error research and resolution, NIS research, dealer returns, dealer credit requests, process audits, cycle count and inventory adjustments.  Examine and continuously improve the PDC’s cycle count process, dealer surveys and audit programs.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and timely completion of performance appraisals.  Provides effective constructive teaching, coaching, counseling, and disciplining and development methods for all assigned direct reports.
  • Coordinate PDC activities relative to division ISO 9001 certification.
  • Systematic random checks of operational functions and procedures to obtain compliance and a high level of performance.  Maintain individual and PDC inbound and outbound quality goals.  Increase employee awareness of quality efforts.
  • Manages all continuous improvement projects in the PDC. Coordinates and manages all supervisory six sigma projects.
  • Ability to react to change productively and to manage other tasks as assigned.
  • Assists in the training of other employees as directed.
  • Performs other duties as requested by PDC Manager

Qualifications and Skills


  • Bachelor degree (B.A. or B.S.) required. Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related area required, M.B.A. desired.
  • Thorough knowledge of DC operations, practices and procedures acquired by 5 years or more experience in a progressive, complex RF distribution center, with inventory control administrative and supervisory duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and effectively communicate and present to individuals and groups. Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use AS400 and LAN systems experience required. Intermediate abilities in MS Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, MSWord.
  • Flexibility to work different and varied work schedules, up to 15% travel each year.
  • Six Sigma lean belt training minimally, Green Belt preferred.
  • Bi-lingual skills a plus [desired, not required].
