Requisition Summary

The Sales department is seeking a technically experienced individual prepared to lead and manage as the ZEV Grant & Technical Advisor for the entire Sales organization. This will focus on existing or conquest sales accounts in the growing category of Electrification within the Kenworth Heavy and Medium duty product lineup.  This new position will be responsible for researching, monitoring, product qualifying, and coordinating grant opportunities with and for electrification customers. This position will also provide product technical expertise, chassis layout information and application analysis to prospective customers.  Additionally, this position will be the technical resource for body builders to answer mounting and electrical integration questions.

This role will involve travel, working with Kenworth Sales managers as well as working with dealers on these emerging technologies. Ideal candidates would have a strong technical and leadership background in managing and leading department and division goals. This position will be located in Kirkland, WA.

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Work with key PACCAR suppliers, as well as Federal and State governments to obtain Grant opportunities for prospective Kenworth customers in the electrification arena.   
  • Champion and develop vehicle optimization of emerging electrification technologies and how they integrate on Kenworth Zero Emission Vehicles. 
  • Responsible for material development, coordination, and training for the Kenworth Sales/Marketing team on grant/incentive opportunities throughout North America, technical aspects of Kenworth’s ZEV lineup, and future product offerings.  
  • Travel up to 33% of the time to support technical specialty shows, conferences, and dealers/customers with zero emission vehicle projects.
  • Work closely with key decision makers responsible for ZEV purchasing and deployment at their organizations
  • Collaborate with Kenworth customers, industry representatives, government organizations on zero emission vehicle pilot programs
  • Work closely with customers and Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment providers to ensure successful deployment of Kenworth ZEVs
  • Maintain database and collateral for grant/incentive opportunities to support Kenworth sales team and Kenworth dealers

 

  Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Pro-E/Creo experience preferred  
  • Technical aptitude and ability to succinctly communicate complicated topics required.
  • Key decision making and leadership skills in current or previous roles.
  • Excellent verbal and business writing communication skills are a must; customer service oriented.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, take initiative, and be a strong team player and problem-solver.
  • Overall strong product knowledge required.
