Requisition Summary

Kenworth is seeking energetic, independent future engineers with interest in creating, defining, and verifying vehicle behavior. The Vehicle Integration team is responsible for managing the comprehensive portfolio of integrated technology and software features within the vehicle.  The team provides written and visual communication to the organization describing the intended behavior of the vehicle in order to support software development and verification.  The ideal candidate has excellent communications skills, can bring multiple stake-holders together, and has a passion for understanding how heavy duty trucks are used.



Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Assist in vehicle simulation and controls development.
  • Review truck fleet fuel economy and configuration data to estimate break-in effects on vehicle performance.
  • Review and analyze battery and electric motor component technology.



Qualifications & Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a BS or MS degree program in Science or Engineering field.
  • Strong interest in automotive technologies and development processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Matlab and Simulink based simulation tools.
  • Knowledge or interest in of electric vehicle systems and performance
  • Experience with tableau software
  • Interest in System Engineering Discipline.
