Job Overview:  Manage the Kenworth Powertrain & Zero Emissions market segments (PACCAR Powertrain, Electric, Fuel Cell, and Green House Gas technologies) strategies to achieve division sales, margin, PACCAR Powertrain market share and GHG compliance goals.

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities:

•    Manage marketing activities for integration of PACCAR Powertrain and Zero Emissions technologies into Kenworth products.
•    Develop annual marketing plan for Powertrain, Zero Emissions & Green House Gas (GHG).
•    Lead project management activities to execute new product launches.
•    Manage customer events and trade shows
•    Maintain technical understanding of PACCAR Powertrain & Zero Emissions products.
•    Maintain understanding of technologies needed meet GHG regulations.
•    Provide input to GHG team on customer adoption of new technologies.
•    Create marketing content, including FABs (Features Advantages & Benefits), walk around presentations, competitive product comparisons, sales collateral content, training content and other marketing content.
•    Analyze market and customer data to develop regional and segment marketing strategies.
•    Initiate marketing actions to influence sales outcomes that achieve division goals.
•    Work with sales team to spec trucks that meet customer’s needs & provide technical expertise to win deals. 
•    Present to various audience, including division management, customers, dealers, internal departments and other PACCAR entities. 
•    Develop and manage special marketing projects as assigned:  For example, subscription services & service marketing.

 

Qualifications / Skills:

•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing or business administration required.
•    Master’s degree preferred.
•    5+ years’ experience in engineering, sales, marketing or field service preferred.
•    Knowledge of Kenworth products, customer needs, competitors and North American truck industry preferred.
•    Must be a self-started with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
•    Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Up to 35% travel required.
