Requisition Summary

This position is responsible for managing the paint process for Kenworth to ensure that paint transactions are processed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with Kenworth policies. The Paint Coordinator contributes as a cross functional team member by working with the plants, sales staff, and dealer network.


Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Represent Kenworth to dealer staff and customers. Serve as a liaison between dealers and paint supplier in coordinating the development and maintenance of available paint colors.
  • Review incoming orders for paint sales code accuracy and compliance to policy.
  • Manage weekly line loads to ensure accuracy of paint information.
  • Review custom paint sketches. Coordinate closely with plant personnel to complete custom paint transactions requiring special approval.
  • Responsible for resolving, communicating, and prioritizing paint-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Review, enhance and update existing paint practices, working towards continuous improvement.
  • Serve as backup sales coordinator as needed.


Qualifications & Skills

  • 4-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other related area required.
  • 2 years+ experience with heavy duty truck or other equipment manufacturer, involving dealer and internal sales organization contact preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload in a self-directed manner.
  • Candidate must possess extreme attention to detail.
  • Experience identifying and proactively addressing opportunities for program improvement.
  • Experience in Six Sigma techniques preferred.
