Requisition Summary
Kenworth Truck Company is seeking a National Dealer Development Manager for the United States and Canada. This exciting executive opportunity will supervise a staff of six (6) and will be responsible for identifying and qualifying Kenworth Dealers for internal growth opportunities to maximize customer uptime, Kenworth representation, customer satisfaction, and the profitability of Kenworth Truck Company and its Dealers.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Supervise a staff of four (4) Regional Dealer Development Managers and two (2) Marketing Specialists.
- Coordinate Annual Dealer Business Reviews and Annual Goals Letters for 100% of the Dealer network.
- Identify internal market expansion opportunities to Dealer Principals and assist them with establishing high quality Kenworth dealerships, TRP stores, and mobile service representation in a timely manner.
- Maximize PACCAR enterprise value and market representation by coordinating Dealer improvement action plans with Sales, Service, Credit, PACCAR Parts, PACCAR Financial, and PacLease.
- Manage the Kenworth PremierCare Gold, Kenworth Dealer Excellence, Kenworth Sign, Dealer Report Card, Dealer 360, and Kenworth Customer Satisfaction Survey (KCSS) programs.
- Manage the Dealer Agreement renewal process to leverage improved dealership performance.
- Maximize the use of the PACCAR financial proforma model to develop winning business strategies.
- Work with Dealers to substantially improve or permanently close facilities in the bottom 5%.
- Serve as a trusted business consultant to Dealer Principals and senior dealership personnel to improve customer support, PACCAR performance, and dealership profitability.
- Champion Kenworth’s Identity and Facility Standards consistently across the network.
- Work with Dealer Successor Candidates and guide them through the PACCAR approval process.
- Assist Dealers to deliver successful and collaborative presentations to senior PACCAR management.
- Manage staff development and the department budget
Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s degree required, preferably in a business-related field; MBA is a strong plus
- Minimum ten years related business experience required, preferably in territory development, small business or financial consulting, or dealership management in commercial truck or heavy equipment
- Minimum five years previous supervisory experience required
- Strong personal computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to quickly develop trusting business relationships
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Previous experience with DCF analysis, financial modeling, and Proforma analysis is a strong plus
- Willingness and ability to travel within the USA and Canada approximately 40-60% of the month

Additional Job Board Information
At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for National Dealer Development is $113,500- $200,000 annually. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift. This position is also eligible for annual incentive bonus compensation with a target of 30% of base pay. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
