    This role is specifically focused on thermal systems development for battery electric trucks. As part of this team, you will leverage a systems engineering approach to cooling design, considering component, system, and vehicle level implications within design choices.

     

    Through PACCAR’s phase-gate implementation process, you will manage projects from start to finish, which will includes, but is not limited to, concept generation, component and system analysis, prototype delivery, supplier collaboration, build support, drawing release, and validation activities.

     

    Collaboration and teamwork both internal and external will be key to ensure alignment to global vehicle division goals. Candidates must possess strong communication skills.



Qualifications & Skills

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Required – BSME and industry experience in design and specification of automotive or HD truck components required, 5+ years of experience including BEV cooling systems preferred.
    • Preferred - Experience with multiple components or whole vehicle architecture.
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Preferred - Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology.
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Preferred - Master’s degree and Professional Engineering License.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Required - Advanced proficiency using Creo or other solid modeling software.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Required - Competency in the use of personal computer software and MS Office suite of tools.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Required - Prior experience in product development and new product implementation.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Required - Ability to manage projects, familiarity with project management tools.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Required - Ability to perform and/or lead development efforts, coach others on design techniques.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Required - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Required - Demonstrated ability to work with a team to achieve timely objectives.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Required - Willingness to be hands-on, develop prototypes and support on-the-ground testing.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Required - Willingness to grow personally and professionally, ready to learn and make use of new engineering processes and techniques. Be resourceful in solving complex technical problems.
