Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Schedule new orders in the appropriate assembly plant and build week each day, based on plant build constraints, proximity to shipping destination, materials availability, customer delivery requirements, and Kenworth performance goals.
  • Lead departmental, cross functional inter-divisional meetings to communicate current scheduling statuses and resolve open issues
  • Monitor new product availability, scheduling appropriate dates and ramp up quantities.
  • Maintain constraint tables within the scheduling system. 
  • Coordinate build schedules with assembly plants daily to provide maximum visibility for materials, engineering and the production facilities. 
  • Recommend plan of action to Kenworth Senior Management regarding any scheduling issues. 
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports of the backlog for Kenworth Division and Corporate.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Kenworth master schedule for builds across all North American divisions.

Qualifications

  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Marketing required.
  • Strong organizational skills and priority-setting capabilities. 
  • 3+ years’ experience in the heavy duty truck industry desired. 
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and evaluate complex situations to recommend sound action plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. 
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of management.
  • Proficient in data analysis, including Excel and Access.

Education

4-year Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Marketing required.
