The HR Intern will be a part of the HR department supporting the Kenworth Division of PACCAR in Kirkland, WA. The intern will gain exposure and hands on participation in HR generalist activities, recruiting support, projects, and event coordination. This is an immediate need internship that will begin as soon as possible.


Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned projects with HR Director and HR Business Partner support
  • Assist with the coordination of employee events

Assist with HR Generalist Activities including:

  • Assist with New Employee Orientation
  • Assist with the Separation/Intern Exit Interview Process
  • Assist with SAP Entry and HR Administration
  • Assist with file documentation, organization and archiving

Assist with Recruiting Activities including:

  • Assist with sourcing and screening candidates from multiple sources
  • Coordinate interview schedules with hiring managers and candidates
  • Coordinate background checks, references, and pre-employment drug screens
  • Provide support to the front desk during receptionist breaks and lunches
  • Other assignments as assigned related to the department’s strategic goals, continuous improvement and addressing business/HR needs




  • Positive, can do attitude, attention to detail, high expectations of quality, customer service orientated, strong desire to learn and develop skill set
  • Excellent communication skills , written and oral
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to complete projects on time and handle adhoc assignments
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is a must
  • Skilled with technology (e.g. MS SharePoint, MS Office)
  • Thrive in professional business environment




Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
