Requisition Summary

Do you have a passion for problem solving and customer satisfaction? The Kenworth Service Platforms team is seeking a Fleet Data Analyst/Scientist who enjoys data analysis, reporting and forecasting using Warranty, Remote Diagnostics, Service Management, and Field Service data.  This position plays a key role in supporting the organization by helping to identify high value field issues that impact product reliability and customer uptime. The ideal candidate will leverage their data analytics skillset to build custom dashboards and tools that show various service and warranty related metrics / key performance indicators. This position is instrumental in helping Kenworth leaders make data-drive decisions to increase customer uptime and satisfaction.

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Explore data pools and leverage analytics tools to support key customers and drive business decision making.
  • Breakdown complicated, dirty, and diverse data sets into very easy-to digest dashboards that Field Service and Sales can use to engage external stakeholders in a compelling manner.
  • Serves as data subject matter expert (SME) for Service Platforms to various internal stakeholders to include Field Service, Engineering, Accounting, and Kenworth Senior Management.
    • Create and maintain service-related performance indicators for Service Platforms for key customers by leveraging data analytics tools to include Tableau, Snowflake, MS Access.
    • Develop customer specific tools and metrics to support Field Service and their management of key customers and related service events.
    • Generate ad-hoc SQL queries to support analysis requests from internal/external stakeholders.
    • Support Service Platforms data analysis; includes customer specific product reliability reporting as well as developing and maintaining warranty cost curves, cost history and failure trend analysis.
    • Provide service, warranty, and goodwill analysis support to the Engineering, Connected Truck, Warranty, Field Service, Accounting and Pricing/Sales teams.
  • Communicate data insights to internal stakeholders to ensure that the most significant customer centric metrics are visible across the organization.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Manage multiple priorities and goals simultaneously.
  • Up to 10% travel. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Masters in Business Analytics or similar is required.
  • 2+ years industry or related experience required.
  • Self-directed team player with the ability to manage multiple objectives and deliver high quality results.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience required, preferably to include expertise with cloud computing products.
  • Strong SQL knowledge/skills and Tableau experience required.
  • Experience working with Python and machine learning methodologies desired. 
  • Demonstrated ability to generate technical solutions based on business needs.
  • Good recall of detail and a mechanical aptitude are beneficial.
  • Strong data literacy and data quality mentality. 
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced just-in-time environment with rapidly changing objectives.
  • Must be comfortable communicating with all levels within the organization.
