Requisition Summary

The Engineering Department is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to manage and lead the cost reduction team. The Engineering Supervisor would lead all aspects of the team including team member performance management, work load selection and assignment, as well as tracking and reporting on progress towards the division cost reduction goals.  Ideal candidates would have a strong leadership background in managing candidates and leading department and division goals.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a high performance team which includes supervising, personnel development, team building, proportioning workload and tracking progress.
  • Identify projects that will reduce part cost, identify resource to work these projects (either on this team or other teams in engineering), then tracking and reporting progress towards division cost reduction goals.
  • The positions will also be responsible for tracking all aspects of the project including budget, costs, schedule, validation, and parts, providing regular status updates to management, and managing the project through all tollgates per the PCP process and insuring the use of DFSS tools.


Qualifications & Skills

  • BSME or equivalent engineering degree required; Masters degree and PE license preferred.  
  • 5+ years of design experience; previous supervisory and/or lead experience preferred.   
    PACCAR/manufacturing plant experience desirable. 
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Ability to provide group leadership and management of human resource issues. 
  • Extensive knowledge of Pro-E techniques.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.  
  • Overall product knowledge required
