Requisition Summary

 

 

PACCAR Global Connected Services is revolutionizing the vehicle ownership experience with the development of innovative services for connected vehicles. This position will support development activities in the Global Connected Services team. The Business Analyst will have the opportunity to provide innovative problem solving in a product development and service environment. This role will interface with product planning/marketing, Original Equipment and 3rd party suppliers, dealers, and end-user customers. The role will require collaboration with other PACCAR companies: Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF, PACCAR Embedded Engineering, PACCAR Technical Center, Information Technology Division, Vehicle Support Center, and the PACCAR Engine Company.

 

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Define and develop Connected Services and Remote Diagnostics features.
  • Manage the relationship between business partners, project teams and vendors.
  • Understand and communicate business needs to analyze and develop technical solutions that meet these needs.
  • Perform tasks associated with pre-project consulting and business case development.
  • Utilize agile methodology to develop project objectives and success criteria.
  • Coordinate product development program activities across multiple projects and systems.
  • Estimate time required to complete business analysis tasks and deliverables.
  • Collect and analyze the project’s business requirements and communicate results to development team.
  • Evaluate the data collected through task analysis, business process, user/customer surveys and workshops.
  • Prepare requirement specifications documents, user interface guides, and functional specification documents.
  • Communicate effectively with business and internal teams to deliver product’s functional requirements like screen, interface, and GUI designs.
  • Facilitate workshops to scope projects and gather detailed product requirements.
  • Perform end-to-end validation of new features, from the vehicle to web portal.
  • Perform tasks associated with post-project implementation, infant care, 2nd level customer support.
  • Utilize Data Analytics tools to uncover root cause and initiate resolution
  • Apply industry standard processes and techniques to solve complex technical problems.
  • Occasional travel is required -10%

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required. Business, Information Technology, or Engineering preferred.

 

Skills / Competencies

  • Automotive/Commercial Vehicle/Agriculture background desired.
  • Background in field service/repair, vehicle systems, and telematics desired.
  • Experience in the specification and design of complex automotive components desired.
  • Familiarity with project management and execution methods and tools. Agile DevOps experience preferred.
  • Experience with Data Analytics and Data Visualizations tools is a plus.
  • Requires independent judgement and effective project management.
  • Ability to manage costs, time and resources, strong communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, manage multiple simultaneous projects, and respond dynamically to shifting priorities.
