Requisition Summary

The Used Equipment Regional Wholesale Sales Manager will represent PACCAR Financial Used Truck operations for the re-marketing of PACCAR equipment, for an assigned territory, to the PACCAR dealer network and independent dealers. Additional responsibilities will include assistance in the development and implementation of the company's used equipment sales plan, adhere to company policies and procedures; and be responsible for day-to-day used truck administration including establishing values, support coordinating inspections and appraisals, minimizing expenses, managing inventory and working with the dealerships, customers and PFC Area Offices to meet the strategic initiatives of PFC. Candidates may reside in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania or New York. Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Maximize resale value of PACCAR products through the solicitation and closing of wholesale sales of equipment held in PFC inventory.
  • Establish asking prices and book values for used trucks located in geographic areas of responsibility.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with commercial truck dealers in assigned territory.
  • Inspect and appraise used equipment as required.
  • Advise and provide values for trade package commitments and business needs on a national basis.
  • Coordinate and manage the sales efforts for assigned inventory portfolio, including PFC Area Office and dealer personnel.
  • Coordinate and manage the administrative sales responsibilities with UESD Equipment Sales Department and commercial truck dealers regarding the sale or purchase equipment, repairs, reconditioning or storage.
  • Train staff at PFC Area Offices to be more knowledgeable on how to establish accurate equipment values.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum two years of Heavy Equipment sales experience required; Heavy Equipment lending experience desired.
  • High integrity, self-motivated and disciplined with good organization and time management skills with the ability to operate independent and remote with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated success and in-depth used truck knowledge.
  • Thorough understanding of truck dealerships and dealer/OEM relationships.
  • Ability to appraise used equipment accurately to maximize PFC’s sales proceeds.
  • Ability to modify communication style to negotiate and communicate with a variety of customers- internal and external.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, focused on follow through and closing deals.
  • Ability to efficiently travel throughout the territory to include the U.S. and Canada (up to 75% travel).
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.


  • High School Diploma.
  • BA/BS degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
