Requisition Summary

Overall responsibility of day-to-day operations of the Company Store maintenance facility of 240 trucks. We are looking for an experienced full service lease Service Manager who understands the need to communicate with multiple dealers and location contacts in Grand Prairie.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, oversee, and maintain a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance program. Direct all maintenance activity with current and prospective customers. Coordinates outside repairs and follow up.
  • General supervision of Service Department personnel. To include:
    • Determine schedules, sequences and assignment for work activities based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel.
    • Monitor employees’ work levels and appraise work performance.
    • Provide developmental direction to employees.
    • Recommend or initiate personnel actions such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
    • Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
    • Conduct or arrange employee training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures or equipment use.
  • Actively and consistently participate in recruitment activities at relevant technical schools.
  • Investigate accidents and injuries and create action plans as needed.
  • Administrative duties to include computerized reports and processing shop paperwork.
  • Remain current with emerging truck technology and business tools.
  • Maintain positive relationship with vendors and customers, including resolving disputes. Customer retention and development duties.
  • Establish and maintain cost control guidelines to effectively manage Profit & Loss statement.
  • Design and maintain efficient shop processes.
  • Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shop to ensure adequate working conditions and proper cost control.
Preferred Experience
  • Full service lease service manager experience highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in managing, monitoring and reducing costs.
  • Technically savvy with computers, management and budgeting.
  • Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Previous experience with profit and loss statement oversight.
  • Experience managing a team of 5 or more employees.
  • Experience in data analytics.
