Requisition Summary
This position will manage activities to significantly improve on time deliveries from the PACCAR supply base.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Actively engage with suppliers to identify and resolve issues preventing 100% on time delivery to PACCAR manufacturing plants.
- Focus on low performing suppliers and drive actions to resolve the root cause of low performance.
- Develop and implement actions and strategies with suppliers, procurement, supply chain, engineering and quality to address supplier capacity, manufacturing and supply chain constraints.
- Support PACCAR manufacturing plants and service organization on major supplier issues. On site supplier problem solving support and ensure timely implementation of permanent corrective actions and resolution.
- Move between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail.
- Maintain consistent and clear communication with executive leadership and key stakeholders on status and resolution of critical supplier issues.
- Lead assessment of supplier capacity and identifies solutions to improve processes / equipment to improve output.
Qualifications
- Experience in Materials/Logistics, Plant Operations, and Manufacturing Processes.
- Experience dealing with supply chain issues
- Lean + Six Sigma Experience
- TRAVEL 75% - candidate would ideally be located near supply base
- Strong influencing, collaboration and relationship-building skills both internally and externally with suppliers
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Working knowledge of manufacturing, services and supply chain operations
- Manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously in order to meet established deadlines.
- Ability to set priorities, multitask and meet deadlines
Education
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8+ years of Supply Chain, Engineering or Manufacturing experience
- 1 year Lead experience
OR
- 10+ years of Supply Chain, Engineering or Manufacturing experience
- 1 year Lead experience
