Requisition Summary

The SAP Financial Business Analyst for Peterbilt Motors is a key member of the team leading the transformation of PACCAR’s legacy accounting systems.  This position acts as a Peterbilt Subject Matter Expert in Accounting, internal processes and business requirements while supporting an SAP implementation. The position works within the Peterbilt accounting organization to develop best-in-class financial system solutions and create standard business processes.  Major areas supported include:  General ledger, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, Account Receivable, Inventory, Forecast, and Internal Controls.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Understand internal accounting processes.
  • Challenge and critique current business processes.
  • Facilitate cross-divisional meetings, workshops, training/testing events.
  • Support of SAP implementations at various locations.
  • Development and execution of detailed system test plans.
  • Development and execution of end user training.
  • Management of data migration from legacy accounting systems to SAP including definition of data requirements and validation of actual data migrated.
  • Development of system documentation.
  • Support Business users through system cutover and after go-live support.
Skills / Competencies
  • 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility. 
  • 4-6 years of SAP experience with accounting modules, or system conversion.
  • Proficient PC skills focusing on the Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Ability to influence and work with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to meet deadlines and work as part of a team.
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP and Internal Controls.
  • Up to 30% domestic and international travel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance required. 
  • CPA professional certification preferred.
