Requisition Summary

This position of Process Engineer will assist in the Study, Analysis, Development, Improvement and Documentation of Plant Assembly processes, especially the Paint system. The job also includes assistance in Continuous Improvement Efforts focusing on; Departmental Quality Improvement Projects, Ergonomic Improvement Projects, Line Balance Optimization and Improvements in Overall Departmental Efficiency.

This is primarily a day shift position, but may involve a split shift if needed.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

•Study, Analyze and Improve Plant Assembly Processes
•Record and Deocument Plant Assembly Processes
•Flexibility to address special projects as they arise
•Assist in Continuous Improvment Efforts focusing on:
◦Departmental Improvement Quality and Delivery Projects
◦Line Balance Optimization
◦Ergonomic and Safety Improvement Projects
◦Robotics and/or IT Integration Efforts
◦Overall Departmental Efficiency and Effectiveness Improvements

Excellent technical, verbal, written and presentations skills. Proven problem solving skills are required. Three years minimum manufacturing experience (exhibited process and product knowledge) is desired.   Proven ability to work in a self-directed environment is preferred. Hands on ability and Data Analysis skills a plus. Familiarity or Knowledge of robotics and/or robotic systems also a plus, as is relevant experience with Paint or Painting application.

Bachelors Degree in Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Six Sigma training is preferred.
