Requisition Summary
Peterbilt Motors Company has an opportunity for a Recruiter responsible for general support of our Peterbilt Technician Institute and Technical School & High School Partnership Programs. This individual is responsible for full cycle recruiting by building a pipeline of diesel technicians with activities such as sourcing, posting jobs, career fairs, campus activities/event development, strategic recruiting plans, student communications, and reporting. This person does not have direct staff supervision responsibilities but may direct others. Compensation will be based on education and experience.
This position will require you to travel up to 50% of the time across the entire United States.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Full Cycle Diesel Technician Recruiter for Peterbilt Technician Institute, Technical School Partnerships and High School Partnerships.
- Actively source diesel technician candidates through campus database searches and networking.
- Create and maintain campus relationships and evaluate candidate selection process.
- Conduct campus recruitment event efforts.
- Create speaker and event opportunities with local Technical Schools and High Schools that position Peterbilt Technician Institute as a primary training option for targeted talent.
- Partner with Marketing to ensure social media presence and messaging strategy is aligned with program goals.
- Build and maintain a strong program to ensure a robust pipeline of diverse candidates.
- Effectively attract qualified candidates for employment opportunities using various sourcing methods.
Job Functions / Responsibilities Continued
- Process candidates through recruitment and selection strategies such as: sourcing, phone screens, interview scheduling, travel arrangements, correspondence, offers, contingencies, etc.
- Ensure positive experience with candidates by acting as their primary contact during the recruitment process.
- Represent Peterbilt / PACCAR at career fairs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with targeted universities and trade schools.
- Maintain applicant tracking system.
- Analyzes and reports recruiting data to support metrics.
- Build strong relationship with the Peterbilt Dealer Training Team.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Approximately 50% travel required.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or other business-related degree is required. Master’s Degree preferred.
- 5-10 years of in-house recruiting, staffing experience, or college campus recruitment.
- Willing to travel and work flexible hours, as needed.
- A current and valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets PACCAR’s insurability guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
