Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for a Materials Traffic Intern within our Plant in Denton, Texas.    

Job Functions / Responsibilities

This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limited to:

Deconsolidation Center Dock Utilization Study

Develop a proposal to schedule loads and spread deliveries for better Crossdock efficiencies

Evaluate local delivery schedule for efficiency opportunities

                                                            

Inbound Freight Shipment Optimization

Evaluate Incoming Loads for maximum utilization

Evaluate supplier packaging for shipment density improvement opportunities, make recommendations

Assist with targeted supplier shipment frequency assessment for optimal network performance

Review Data,  Identify Opportunities, and Provide Recommendations

Create process for tracking of LTL shipments for adherence to published ship schedules and identifying exceptions

Education

Bachelor's Degree In Progress
