Job Functions / Responsibilities

This position will assist in the study, analysis, development and documentation of plant assembly processes. The job also includes assistance in continuous improvement efforts focusing on: departmental quality improvements, ergonomic improvements, line balance optimization and overall departmental efficiency improvements. Professional communication will be required with production employees, management staff, and manufacturing engineers.

 

  • Time Studies to gain support for future projects
  • Time studies needed for labor balancing and equipment optimization for in process projects
  • Engineering support for sustaining projects related to tooling and equipment
  • Engineering support for in process Capital Budget projects
  • Engineering support for continuous improvement projects
  • Ergonomics investigations
  • Connected Manufacturing activity support
  • Drone flights to support business needs

 

Skills / Competencies

  • Must be currently enrolled in an Engineering program and have completed their Sophomore year of college   
  • Excellent technical, verbal, written and presentations skills 
  • Proven problem solving skills are required 
  • Knowledge of industrial tools, hand tools and power tools is preferred
  • Ability to work in a self-directed environment is preferred 
  • Must be flexible to work portions of day and evening shift
  • Strong MS Office skills required.  Specifically: Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred
