Requisition Summary

PLANS AND COORDINATES MAINTENANCE WORK ORDER SCHEDULES FOR A WIDE VARITY OF COMPLEX ELECTRICAL, ELECTRONIC, AND MECHANICAL INSTALLATIONS AND FACILITY AND EQUIPMENT REPAIRS / PLANNED MAINTENANCE (PM). POSITION REQUIRES EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE REPAIR PRACTICES AND PROCEDURES, SUPERIOR COMPUTER LITERACY, THE ABILITY TO TRAIN EMPLOYEES, EXCEPTIONAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND PERSONAL ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS, AND THE ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY WITH MINIMAL SUPERVISION AND DIRECTION. SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO DEVELOP A DEEP AND EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF THE COMPUTERIZED MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CMMS) CALLED MAINTIMIZER. 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • REVIEW MAINTENANCE WORK ORDER (WO) REQUEST AND CONTACT ORIGINATOR FOR CLARITY IF NECESSARY. 
  • PLAN WO REQUEST UTILIZING DEPARTMENT LABOR OR OUTSIDE CONTRACT LABOR. PLANNING INCLUDES PROCUREMENT AND VERIFICATION OF NECESSARY PARTS OR SPECIALIZED TOOLS AND ESTABLISHING SCHEDULES OF COMPLETION. WORK TO BE COMPLETED FOLLOWING ALL FACILITY SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES. 
  • DEVELOP LABOR STANDARDS FOR REPETITIVE PM JOBS AND HISTORICAL JOB ESTIMATES. 
  • REVIEW AND DEVELOP PM TASKS FOR EXISTING AND NEW EQUIPMENT FOR MANUFACTURER’S SUGGESTED PM INSTRUCTIONS, TASKS, AND FREQUENCIES.  ASSIGN AND ENTER EQUIPMENT NUMBER, TASK AND PM FREQUENCY INTO CMMS.
  • REVIEW AND MAINTAIN EXISTING EQUIPMENT FILES AND CREATE NEW FILES WHEN NECESSARY CONTAINING ALL RELEVANT MANUALS, DRAWINGS, AND PARTS LIST. 
  • CONDUCT SOME TRAINING FOR MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEES ON NEW EQUIPMENT OR NEW MAINTENANCE SKILLS.
  • ASSIST IN LOCATING AND ORDERING MATERIAL OR PARTS FOR EQUIPMENT UTILIZING EXISTING SHOP STORES PROCEDURES. 
     

Qualifications

HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION SUPPLEMENTED WITH TECHNICAL TRAINING AND / OR COURSE WORK IN ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEMS, INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICITY, INDUSTRIAL HYDRAULICS, WELDING, AND INDUSTRIAL MECHANICAL MILL WRIGHT INSTALLATION OR REPAIR.  MUST POSSESS A HIGH DEGREE OF COMPUTER LITERACY AND COMPETENCY. MUST BE ABLE TO READ, SKETCH, AND INTERPRET ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL, AND FACILITY DRAWINGS.  MINIMUM FIFTEEN YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN MULTICRAFT, MAINTENANCE ROLE WITH INCREASING RESPONSIBILITIES IN AN INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE ENVIRONMENT IS RECOMMENDED. ADDITIONAL FACILITY, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL OR ENGINEERING TRAINING IS PREFERRED.
