Requisition Summary

The Forecast Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining forecasts in the SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) system for both Peterbilt and Kenworth.  This position will also be responsible for gathering necessary information from multiple sources and utilizing it to develop a forecast at both the finished product and part number level. This role can be based at either Peterbilt Division in Denton, Texas, or Kenworth Division in Kirkland, Washington. 

Job Functions / Responsibilities 

  • Update and maintain material forecasts in SAP IBP system based on projected demand and historical data
  • Compile and review ABC analysis to gauge accurate planning methods in order to meet departmental goals
  • Evaluate forecast models based on demonstrated forecast accuracy
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate changes with multiple departments based on data driven solutions
  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) in the design of standards and maintenance of forecast settings
  • Investigate root cause of shortages to ensure best forecast strategies
  • Lead or assist with continuous improvement projects to enhance department forecasting practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors Degree required in supply chain management, mathematics, business administration, economics, or related field
  • Previous work experience or significant coursework in demand planning or forecasting
  • Knowledge of statistics, supply chain management, EDI, inventory management, and manufacturing is strongly desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Access
  • Previous work experience in an SAP planning environment is preferred
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills are required for this position
