Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company is hiring Interns for the Vehicle Integration team. This team defines the interaction between driver and vehicle.


Job Functions / Responsibilities

·         Interns will support design engineers with their current programs.  This will include but is not limited to:

·         Learn how drivers use commercial vehicles differently from passenger-cars

·         Breaking down a problem and understanding the fundamentals of customer need

·         Design and document driver functional interactions

·         Communicate within a global cross-functional team to ensure success of new development

Skills / Competencies


·         Automotive experience or interest strongly desired

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

·         Ability to work in a self-directed environment is preferred

·         Ability to critically think and work through problems

·         Ability to research problems and find solutions

·         Able to work with a team and others outside of your team

·         Flexibility in your approach to problems presented



Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
