Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for an Engineering Intern on our Research and Development (R&D) Team in Denton, Texas.                  
 

 

 

 

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

Job duties could include:

  1. Removing and installing parts on class 8 heavy trucks for prototyping, testing or management reviews.
  2. Fabricating and/or modifying prototype parts for engineering projects
  3. Design and fabricating test fixtures for in house testing
  4. Supporting setup of customer events and/or management product reviews
  5. Fabricating armatures or cutting billet materials for the CNC mills
  6. Maintaining a safe, clean and professional work environment

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in an Engineering Program and have completed their sophomore year of College.   
  • Excellent technical, verbal, written and presentations skills.
  •  Proven problem solving skills are required. 
  • Ability to work in a self-directed environment is preferred. 
  • Must be flexible to work portions of day and evening shift.
  • Be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • MS office, specifically excel spreadsheets
  • A 3.0 GPA or higher is preferable

We are looking for a person with work experience in the area of automotive repair, heavy equipment and/or work experience in a machine shop or fabrication shop.
