Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for an Engineering Intern on our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Team in Denton, Texas.                  
 



 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Evaluate engineering designs to assure manufacturing product requirements are achieved.
  • Coordinate and host manufacturing engineering readiness reviews.
  • Participate in tracking product pilots, audit build effectiveness, and initiate activities for corrective actions.
  • Assist with developing the PACCAR returnable container database to track fleet sizes and fleet health.
  • Assist with developing the Operations Requirements Book for standard processes and manufacturing requirements to be followed by design engineering.

 

Skills / Competencies

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in an Engineering Program and have completed their sophomore year of College.   

Excellent technical, verbal, written and presentations skills. Proven problem solving skills are required. Ability to work in a self-directed environment is preferred. 

  • Must be flexible to work portions of day and evening shift.
    • Be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
      • MS office, specifically excel spreadsheets
        • A 3.0 GPA or higher is preferable.

Education

Bachelor's Degree In Progress
