Requisition Summary

The EV (Electrical Vehicle) Safety Training Manager is responsible for developing training material for and provides training support to PACCAR plants and other locations on safe working on and around electrical vehicles. Primary focus on PACCAR plants in North America, but support to global organization, including (company owned) dealers. The position reports into the Corporate Director of Health & Safety.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Developing dedicated trainings for various levels of risk involved and various types of vehicles and zero emission powertrains.
  • Designated as the technical trainer for North America, providing EV safety training on location: train-the-trainer in locations with a technical trainer and training employees directly in locations without a technical trainer
  • Participating in and supporting of EV Safety Project Team
  • 50% travel as required, mostly in the United States.



  • Five plus years of experience in training
  • Experience in (electrical) engineering and/or safety
  • Familiar with safety regulations, OSHA and NFPA
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and proven ability to lead employees through complex projects in a fast pace environment
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, work well under pressure while meeting deadlines, mitigate failure, make decisions, and drive change
  • Strong system and database knowledge along with experience in transportation management systems and logistics preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Tableau
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills



Bachelor’s degree required, Safety Management or Engineering degree preferred.
