Requisition Summary

This position will report to the LCF team within Peterbilt Division Engineering and be responsible for the activities related to Deploying the ZANZEFF Grant funded Electric trucks (M579ev and M220ev) in 2019 and 2020.  This position will also be responsible for progressing the Tollgate project for Electric Vehicles, Phase 2 initiative of low volume EV production beginning in the 2020 timeframe.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Lead the build and EV powertrain integration of the ZANZEFF Grant project vehicles
  • Lead the Phase 2 EV Tollgate project

Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is required in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Thorough knowledge of Peterbilt Products and Processes including PCP Tollgate Experience.
  • Strong vehicle electrical and vehicle systems background.
  • Understanding of on-board diagnostic systems, embedded software, vehicle programming & CAN.
  • Understanding of High Voltage DC power systems, energy storage, inverters, motors, cabling & routing, charging, troubleshooting, design.
  • High level of initiative and demonstrated problem solving experience.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse set of stakeholders (PACCAR Divisions, Suppliers & Customers) and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Hands on experience and manufacturing experience desired.
  • Must be willing to Travel, including internationally.
  • Experience with Microsoft office products.
  • Experience with Creo, Mentor Graphics, electrical system schematics and drawing interpretation.


Bachelor’s degree or higher is required in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
