Requisition Summary

The Commodity Manager of Advance Vehicle Systems role includes the procurement of vehicle-related hardware or software and is responsible for partnering with and supporting internal business units, functional groups, and associated stakeholders while executing strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship management initiatives.
Responsibilities include the negotiation and management of all aspects of PACCAR’s commercial relationship with the assigned group of advanced vehicle technology suppliers.  This includes contractual requirements with respect to quality, technology, delivery, customer service, aftermarket support, logistics and total cost. Will have a significant role in PACCAR’s development of connected, autonomous, hybrid and electric vehicles. Commodity Managers are change agents, focused on delivering the highest value to internal and external customers at the lowest total cost.

Qualifications & Skills

•    Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, marketing, engineering, materials, or related PACCAR experience
•    Experience with autonomous vehicles, electronics, electrification, or related fields
•    Excellent written/verbal communication skills
•    Creative, quality and results-driven work ethic
•    Proven negotiation and strong analytical skills
•    Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, Access, & PowerPoint)
•    Experience with electronics, electrification, or related fields a plus
•    Project team participation and/or project management
•    BA degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field, MBA preferred
