Requisition Summary

The Business Continuity Intern will assist and prepare documentation for ISO Accreditation with ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management Systems Standards while working under direction of the Peterbilt Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Analyst. 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and improvement of the Business Impact Analysis (BIA).
  • Conduct reviews for ISO 22301 Stage I and Stage II Audit final preparation and coordination.
  • Assist with updating Peterbilt Recovery and Business Continuity Plans.
  • Assist in the preparation for Business Continuity Training & Awareness.
  • Assist with the maintenance and report development of business continuity planning software.
  • Research and aid in the development of Business Continuity Vendor Agreements.
  • Administrative duties may include scheduling meetings, capturing meeting notes, etc.

Skills / Competencies

  • Enrolled in and working toward a degree in Emergency Administration and Planning, Business Continuity or related field and have completed at a minimum their
    sophomore year of College. 
  • Exceptional demonstrable organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills. 
  • Exceptional demonstrable application and use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Capable of working in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be a self-starter, resourceful, and capable to multitasking. 
  • Basic understanding of emergency administration and business continuity.
  • Proven ability to work in a self-directed environment.
  • Aptitude for learning other software applications.
  • Knowledge of the latest emergency notification technology.


Bachelor's Degree In Progress
