Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for an Accounting Intern to add to our Accounting Team in Denton, Texas for Summer 2019.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limited to:

  • Assist with general accounting duties for month-end close and forecast
  • Develop an SAP AP/MRO training document for distribution to Engineering
  • Perform BOM comparisons and assist in the cost tracking for the New Medium Duty and Model 579 Mid-Life Update programs
  • Conduct reconciliations of program capital and assist with the 2020 capital submission process

Skills / Competencies

The candidate we seek will be recently graduated or currently enrolled in an Accounting Degree program.  


The skills that are important to be successful in this position are as follows:

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be comfortable making oral presentations to peers and management.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel and SAP.
  • Strong organizational skills required to manage various projects.
  • Deadline-driven and self-motivated.
