Job Functions / Responsibilities
 

  • Lead and participate in multiple simultaneous engineering efforts for new product development projects
  • Review new product design concepts, 3D models, and drawings for manufacturability       
  • Create and maintain project schedules and budgets for new product introduction to PEC
  • Design and document CNC machining processes for new product: SOPs, PFMEAs, control plans, layout studies, cycle time analyses, financial analyses
  • Specify and procure new tools, equipment, packaging, and other resources prior to new product launch
  • Lead preparation and implementation of equipment commissioning and new product trial builds    
  • Implement process changes on time and in budget for new product launch
  • Three (3) – Five (5) years engineering experience in production environment
  • Identifies training needs and facilitates training
  • Leads projects, major scope, develop and delegates to team 

 

Qualifications & Skills


Required
 

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering (Prefer Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing)
  • Seven (7) years of engineering experience
  • Experience with Visual Management/Project Management Tools
  • Experience in complex machining, assembly or project engineering assignments
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a self-directed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and influence others
  • Ability to work within deadlines to achieve goals

 

Desired

  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience in a simultaneous engineering-style project environment
  • Professional Certification
