Requisition Summary
If you are bright, dynamic, and self-motivated, we have the perfect opportunity for you to accelerate your career at PACCAR Engine Company. We are looking for a MES Developer to help us provide superior technical support for associates at our $400 million Plant in Columbus, Mississippi.
The ideal candidate has a four-year bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering with great communication and organizational skills. This candidate is detail-oriented, ambitious, individually driven to succeed, and can provide exceptional application support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Provide system architecture knowledge and application support for the Apriso MES suite
- Design, develop, and enhance applications to support production initiatives
- Analyze, document, and continuously improve complex business and systematic processes and identify dependencies between technologies to help drive technical requirements
- Collaborate with business users to improve IT Application alignment with production needs
- Develop and implement Apriso Process Builder enhancements
- Manage small MES / .NET projects which may include coordination with nearshore / offshore resources
- Perform black-box, white-box, and integrated testing of software solutions
- Analyze Incidents and provide workarounds to maintain operational uptime
- Identify root causes to repetitive issues and implement solutions for resolution
- Attend department-specific and other IT-sponsored meetings, workshops, and trainings
- Provide on-going production support for PACCAR Engine systems and applications
- Manage the relationship between specific business partners and systems
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Software Engineering or an approved similar field
- Career applicable proficiency of the Apriso MES suite including Process Builder configuration
- Proficient in one or more object-oriented languages such as C# or Java
- Capable of moderating and presenting IT incidents and topics in a team environment
- Proven Experience with Agile SCRUM methodologies
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively with little to no supervision
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and professional behavioral skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite

Desired:
- Experience with managing incident and service requests in a ticket management application
- Experience with project management principles
- Experience with business analyst competencies (requirements gathering, process diagraming)
- Experience with MS Visio or similar process flow modeling tool
