Requisition Summary

If you are bright, dynamic, and self-motivated we have the perfect opportunity for you to accelerate your career at PACCAR Engine Company. We are looking for a Manufacturing Systems Analyst to help us sustain, maintain, and enhance the PACCAR production environment at our $400 million Plant in Columbus, Mississippi.  

The ideal candidate has a four year Bachelor’s degree and is detail oriented, ambitious, and has great organizational skills and has the ability to provide exceptional customer service.


Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Follow Manage process and software development projects on an as need basis.
  • Interact with technical resources and customers to identify and document requirements used to produce systems requirements documentation.
  • Transform business requirements into system specifications.
  • Support developers during the development process to understand the requirements and course correct as necessary.
  • Manage the relationship between specific business partners and the technology systems these business partners utilize.
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and communicate business needs in order to analyze and develop technical solutions that meet these needs.
  • Work with management and users to define, develop, and implement innovative business solutions.
  • Perform testing for specific features where configuration is required.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance testing.
  • Help document and coordinate technical environment implementations.
  • Support deployed system(s).
  • Provide ad-hoc systems support as necessary.
  • Complete technical, functional, process, user manual and training documentation.
  • Facilitate user training (as appropriate).
  • Periodically audit IT processes to ensure compliance to policy and standards.
  • Manage small to medium-size projects.
  • Implementations may include the involvement of internal and/or external resources.
  • This position can also involve managing the configuration of third party systems.
  • Perform project management tasks including reporting status to Senior Management
  • Follow System Development Life Cycle.
  • Work using DevOps and Agile methodologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous manufacturing experience desired
  • Capacity to work effectively within software development teams
  • Ability to work well with others, demonstrates strong communication skills and self-motivation.
  • Drives for results
  • Demonstrate ability to generate technical solutions based on business needs.
  • Strong knowledge of software delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment with little or no supervision.
  • On-call availability for business support, including weekends.
  • Experience working with Agile, Scrum, KanBan, DevOps  methods a plus
  • Experience in leading small to medium-sized IT projects desired
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Outlook, Visio, SharePoint, and MS Teams
  • Programming knowledge/skills a plus (preferably C# and SQL).
  • General SAP knowledge/skills
 

Education & Training

  • Undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field is required.
  • Agile/DevOps training or experience preferred
