Duties:

PACCAR is seeking a qualified Sr Network Administrator to perform day-to-day administration of the Network Infrastructure, including:

•    Provide technical support and guidance to end users
•    Complete daily Network system health checks
•    Support scheduled after-hours maintenance
•    Ability to be on call for 24/7 support
•    Highly motivated, self-starter, able to work independently, multi-task, respond to changing priorities and initiative to own specific tasks
•    Support the development of the department’s technical vision and strategy for PACCAR’s networks including WAN/LAN, Wireless/Mobility, Unified Communications, and SAN.
•    Implement automation to streamline all aspects of network management including processes, provisioning, performance, and notification.
•    Support global strategies to implement new technologies based on developed vision.
•    Present new and emerging technologies to management through vendor presentations and/or personal experiences, which provide financial benefit or increase productivity.
•    Support and work with peers in cross-functional global teams.
•    Promotes cross functional training and development for network engineers.
•    Contributes to the development of PACCAR network standards and publish RFCs as requested.
•    3rd level support on PACCAR’s network infrastructure and its peripheral equipment. 
•    Document network problems and resolution for future reference and automate to reduce support.

 

Skills Required:

•    5+ years of professional Networking Technology experience at an enterprise level; 4+ years of hands-on networking Engineer (Cisco, Proxies, Firewalls, Load Balancers, LAN/WAN Optimization) Knowledge of Virtual Networking Products like Cisco DNA, Cisco ACI, SDDC, SD-WAN and Premised based and Cloud based networking and security solutions.
•    Knowledge of Cloud Apps, Cloud technologies & ecosystems, mainly AWS and Azure
•    Experience with Red Hat Ansible, automation, and DevOps environments.
•    Experience with IPv6 migration
•    Proven track record in the support of secure enterprise level networks. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP applications and protocols, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, STP.
•    Experience with IPSEC and SSL based VPN equipment.
•    Strong knowledge of IP switched storage networks.
•    Experience with converge network LAN/SAN/SDN.
•    Palo Alto Firewall, Silver Peak SD-WAN, and F5 Big IP Load balancer administration experience is a plus.
•    Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and Microsoft Azure DevOps environment recommended.
•    Understanding of current and emerging wireless network technology in an enterprise setting.
•    Knowledge in security including authentication and encryption protocols.
•    Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) and strong analytical abilities.
•    Ability to exert influence, gain consensus and broker solutions between leaders and peers.

 

Education/Training: 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required.
•    Cisco Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or CISSP preferred.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This job requires possible ladder use, working in confined spaces, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling as well as bending and stooping.
