Nature Of Duties

  • Assist team with implementation of a new kitting area in the plant to create better material flow plant wide.
  • Conduct time studies to create work load balance in material handling areas.
  • Identify issues with material flow and work with a team to determine the best solution and then work closely with material handlers to implement the solution.
  • Design and implement material flow and part presentation tools throughout the plant
  • Create visual management standards
  • Tugger route development and tracking to continuously improve the flow of the entire delivery system
  • Work with material handlers to continuously improve kitting cell flow    
  • Evaluate and develop receiving dock flow of material into the plant and returnables exiting the plant
  • Evaluate efficiency of returnable containers and packaging throughout the plant
  • Evaluate and work with a team to improve methods of storing material  
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in supply chain management, logistics, material flow
  • Experience in manufacturing setting
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast paced environment
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Strong basic math skills; analytical, detailed organized work habits
  • Mechanical aptitude including ability to read blueprints and communicate   technical information clearly    
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
  • Keyboard proficiency
  • Exerience with mircrosoft office excel, powerpoint, and word
  • Anaylitical skills with microsoft excel
