Requisition Summary

 

Responsible for Human Resource Generalist activities for assigned internal customers.  Performs HR-related strategic, operational, and administrative activities and initiatives. This is an evening shift position.

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Works in a collaborative manner with HR and operations personnel to provide consistent application of policies, practices and procedures. 
• Provides HR support including employment, corrective counseling, job bidding, salary and administration, and attendance management.
• Builds positive employee relations by proactive employee communication, prompt issue resolution and fair and equitable treatment. This includes support of local and corporate programs to promote employee goodwill and positive morale.
• Serves as the HR subject matter expert to managers and employees.
• Monitors, analyzes, reports, and creates initiatives that support EEO/AAP efforts.
• Provides coaching and counseling to employees and managers.
• Assist with recruiting for both exempt and non-exempt positions.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Manages human resources projects and initiatives and represents human resources on matrix project teams.
• Conducts investigation into operational and HR/employee relations issues.
• Responsible for completing monthly HR reports.
• Coordinates events, attends career fairs, and provides community support.
• Responsible for maintaining and managing the HR files and audits for accuracy.
• Reviews and maintain onboarding programs, conducts new hire orientation and HR audits.
• Supervises other HR team members, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree required. Business related discipline or Human Resources preferred.
• Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Must be able to handle and prioritize a demanding workload.
• Thoroughly proficient in PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Must be able to work any shift with flexible hours.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2 - 4 years HR Generalist experience
• Manufacturing experience highly preferred
• Experience with regulatory compliance with EEOC, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, and other state or federal laws
• Familiar with HRIS systems, preferably SAP

Education

Bachelor’s Degree required. Business related discipline or Human Resources preferred.
