PACCAR WINCH Inc is a wholly owned subsidiary of PACCAR.  PACCAR Winch Inc manufactures high quality industrial winches, hoists, and drives for the oil/gas, construction, utility and specialty markets.   We have locations in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma.  Our business is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Plant Manager in our Broken Arrow, Oklahoma location.

Job Summary:

This position manages all manufacturing activities to attain Division and Plant goals, including safety, quality, on-time delivery, continuous improvement and productivity.   Leads or champions initiatives to improve plant operations using both Lean and Six Sigma methods and incorporates new innovations in manufacturing technology and processes.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:        

 

  • Manage and oversee the daily activities of the production superintendent, the maintenance and production supervisors, team leaders, and operators in a multi-shift operation.
  • Develop and oversee Best in Class employee safety programs.
  • Ensure local compliance with Winch quality programs and maintain quality standards per ISO and QMS requirements.
  • Responsible for managing plant objectives including safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, on-time delivery, timely product launches and profitability.
  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure appropriate hiring, orientation, training, performance reviews, counseling and disciplinary actions of employees.
  • Coach and develop all levels of employees to achieve high performance.
  • Maintain productive and responsive relationship with bargaining unit. 
  • Champion multiple CI projects to exceed CI goals.
  • Solid or dotted line leadership of the plant manufacturing engineering team.
  • Assist in planning and implementation of annual operating and capital budgets. Control monthly operating expenses and maintain necessary records and documentation.
  • Assist in developing and implementing methods for improving productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain effective communication with leadership and other departments to ensure maximum cost-savings and efficient manufacturing and distribution operations.
  • Prepares reports and metrics for management, and coordinates activities with other area managers to achieve interrelated goals (example: new product launches). 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Leadership skills and ability to coach and mentor technical managers.
  • Five or more years of progressively complex management assignments in closely related production environment.
  • Must be able to think strategically and develop strategic plans to meet company and facility objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate others.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering or other appropriate field.
  • MBA degree strongly desired.
  • Six Sigma training strongly desired.
