PACCAR WINCH Inc is a wholly owned subsidiary of PACCAR.  PACCAR Winch Inc manufactures high quality industrial winches, hoists, and drives for the oil/gas, construction, utility and specialty markets.   We have locations in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma.  Our business is growing and we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer.  This position is located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Job Summary:   Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for engineering design, development, and production support of PACCAR Winch product lines that include winch, hoist and drive units.  This role offers professional development and access to global opportunities in a challenging, high performance environment where you’ll be able to achieve a rewarding career that reflects individual’s talents and aspirations.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:          

  • Develop the design of major gear set and hydraulic components for complete projects of varying magnitude and scope.
  • Coordinate and complete projects and design efforts with other groups and departments within the company.
  • Apply engineering techniques gained through study or experience, frequently requiring independent evaluation.
  • Direct and conduct necessary research incidental to design.
  • Complete design projects and manufacturing process changes from planning, calculation, and design analysis, design, testing, evaluation and implementation necessary for successful project completion.
  • Identify, prioritize, and coordinate resolution of production, production control, and Quality Assurance issues as appropriate.
  • Develop, maintain, and present project metrics: cost capital, performance, milestones/timeline as directed.
  • Utilizes Creo and Windchill as the CAD and data management system.
  • Utilize and maintain Six Sigma, DFSS and Lean tools throughout the design and validation process.
  • Occasional travel is required.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and/or experience in gear and hydraulic systems
  • Experience in machine design of parts and systems
  • Gear train design experience including:  Worm, Spur, & Planetary Gears
  • Fluid Power / Hydraulic Certifications
  • Creo/Windchill experience
  • 5+ Yrs. design experience in related industry
  • Manager/team lead experience
