PACCAR WINCH Inc is a wholly owned subsidiary of PACCAR.  PACCAR Winch Inc manufactures high quality industrial winches, hoists, and drives for the oil/gas, construction, utility and specialty markets.   We have locations in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma.  Our business is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer Manager.  This position is located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer Directs and coordinates manufacturing, tooling and methods of engineering and initiates cost control programs to support production requirements at maximum efficiency for all Winch locations.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:          

 

  • Supervises allocation of space within the plant and design of tools to achieve efficient arrangement of workflow and materials handling.
  • Supports machining and assembly operations and service requirements, ensuring utilization of economical manufacturing methods.
  • Directs preparation of capital expenditure proposals for corporate approval, directing implementation following approval.
  • Coordinates cost reduction efforts including methods analysis, and employee cost reduction suggestions.
  • Establishes manufacturing processes. Implements department policies and procedures.
  • Directs and coordinates procurement and installation of manufacturing equipment and tooling.
  • Supervises industrial/manufacturing engineering functions and employees.
  • Analyze and make recommendations for shop staffing based on shop load.  In addition, analyze machine loads and recommend outsourcing where necessary.
  • Assist with production standards and build rate changes.
  • Support Continuous Improvement for the plant by mentoring project leaders within the department towards project completions and attainment of related goals.
  • Foster and support the pursuit of safety improvements to provide an ergonomically friendly workplace to all employees.
  • Lead the department in efforts to prioritize attainment of all Key Process Indicators, such as Efficiency, On-Time Delivery, Cost, and Quality goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or appropriate major.
  • Five (5) years of progressively complex industrial and plant engineering assignments; preferably possessing three (3) to four (4) years with PACCAR.
  • Previous experience managing or leading a group or department.
  • Experience implementing connected factory and Industry 4.0 solutions.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
