Manage the division-wide quality, warranty and continuous improvement departments.  Drive continuous improvement efforts across all business functions.  Improve customer relations through corrective actions, and quality improvements. 



Essential Functions / Responsibilities:


  • Quality, Warranty and Continuous Improvement Strategic Planning.
  • Annual quality improvement promotion company-wide.
  • Support PPS refinement and expansion of standards.
  • Facilitate improvement activities, monitoring action plans and progress to ensure results are achieved.
  • Monitor and communicate Quality Metric performance and activities to support continuous improvement of Quality Metrics.
  • Company-wide improvement leadership.
  • Quality Techniques, Problem solving and Team Training.
  • Attend training courses for Advanced Quality Techniques and communicate results through appropriate company training sessions.
  • Quality, Warranty and Continuous Improvement Department employee development, training, performance measuring, scheduling and selection.
  • Maintain up-to-date Quality, Warranty, and Continuous Improvement Department performance appraisal objectives and results.
  • Participate with Purchasing to evaluate and improve supplier quality systems through vendor surveys and certification.
  • Perform supplier reject analysis to assist Purchasing with survey schedules and supplier corrective actions and to provide a plan to improve Receiving Inspection efficiency and results.
  • Promote SPC, Quality Techniques, Process Capability studies and Control Plans for office, Manufacturing, Design and Suppliers.
  • Driving Improvement to the customer
  • Budgeting, expense control and promoting of projects to reduce quality costs.
  • Support cost reduction efforts.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technical related field
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of managerial experience
  •  Seven (7) to ten (10) years of total business experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
