PACCAR Financial (PFC)

PACCAR Financial facilitates the sale of premium-quality Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF trucks in 20 countries on three continents worldwide by offering a full spectrum of creative, flexible financial products and value-added services specifically tailored to the transportation industry.

Requisition Summary

The Used Equipment Sales Manager will lead the wholesale team in remarketing used equipment to the PACCAR dealer network and independent dealers.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Maximize resale value of PACCAR products.
  • Manage wholesale facilities and field-based sales personnel.
  • Oversee pricing strategies and present initiatives to senior management.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with PACCAR dealer network.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Commercial Truck Dealers.
  • Execute the used truck business plan and develop the marketing and sales channels to achieve these objectives.
  • Monitor existing internal controls and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.  Ensure timely and accurate preparation, review and submission of routine and special management reports.
  • Ensure the efficient and profitable operations of the Wholesale team through utilization of effective management skills.  Develop skills of subordinates through a combination of goal setting, delegation, training, coaching, and performance review.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven success and in-depth used truck knowledge with progressively more responsible management experience.
  • Thorough understanding of truck dealerships and dealer/OEM relationships.
  • Ability to appraise used equipment accurately to maximize PFC’s sales proceeds.
  • Strong analytical skills to properly evaluate how to minimize reconditioning expenses while maximizing profit margins.
  • Effectively communicate with dealers and other sales prospects to consummate sales.
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to motivate and develop staff; strong planning and organizational skills; excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff; ability to manage highly challenging dealer relationships; excellent oral and written communication. skills; strong presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of creating and managing a budget.
  • Ability to efficiently travel throughout the territory to include U.S. and Canada.

Education

  • BA/BS degree in finance, business or related field required.  MBA Preferred.
