Requisition Summary

The Tax Accountant is an important member of the Corporate Tax Team. The position reports to the Tax Manager and is responsible for quarterly provisions, tax compliance, R&D, cost segregation studies and other ad hoc projects. The position works closely with the Accounting departments of the divisions and outside service providers.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Prepare federal income tax returns, including quarterly estimates, tax research etc.
  • Assist with quarterly and monthly income tax provisions.
  • Prepare, reconcile and maintain data within various Excel worksheets to be used in calculating the Research & Development tax credit.
  • Assist with monthly income tax forecasts.
  • Assist with the preparation of state income tax returns if needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including SAP and LKE testing.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Strong PC skills are required, including Word, Excel and OneSource Software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Work with limited supervision.
  • One to five years of accounting experience with exposure to tax compliance.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
  • Experience in public accounting preferred.
  • CPA desired.
