The Senior Financial Analyst is an important member of the Consolidation team responsible for the consolidation of PACCAR Inc’s global financial results and forecasts as well as the preparation of internal and external financial statements. This position reports to the Manager of Consolidations. The position interacts frequently with accounting teams from PACCAR divisions and may participate in meetings with senior management.





  • Prepare month-end financial results and forecast consolidation process, including:
    • consolidating and analyzing data from all US and international entities;
    • preparing consolidation journal entries,  
    • reviewing elimination entries;
    • developing reports and establishing and/or revising consolidation structures;
    • preparing reconciliation schedules including reviewing intercompany balances;
    • and reviewing supplemental schedules.
  • Perform ongoing maintenance of chart of accounts structure/testing and maintaining integrity of the consolidation software especially during upgrades or other projects
  • Compile, analyze and review financial data for periodic government reporting
  • Prepare financial data and analysis for Senior Management as needed
  • Assist with quarterly and annual SEC filings, including preparation of Management Discussion and Analysis.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during the quarterly review process and annual audit
  • Participate in documentation and testing for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)
  • Complete other various projects including system implementation projects and special analysis as assigned







  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; including effective written and verbal skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Position requires frequent coordination and negotiation with numerous groups within PACCAR ranging from division accounting contacts to senior management levels.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, macros, charts and graphs) and data analytic tools (i.e. tableau, etc.).
  • Self-motivated problem solver with ability to work independently and under pressure with deadlines, handling multiple tasks and/or projects and shifting priorities.
  • Positive attitude and “can-do” approach to issue resolution.




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or relevant field
  • 2+ years of work experience in Accounting or Finance




  • CPA or advanced degree preferred
  • Experience with SAP FICO, SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Alteryx
  • Public accounting and industry experience with multinational publicly traded company preferred

Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
