Requisition Summary

PACCAR has an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Analyst located at the company’s global headquarters in Bellevue, Washington. The PACCAR Payroll team is searching for a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who is looking to become an expert in the payroll process of a large multi-national company. This person will be responsible for the following:

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Inputting and maintaining employee payroll records in SAP, auditing for compliance with company policy, procedures, and authorizations with cyclical deadlines.
  • Processing manual, non-standard or correction transactions, including cross-check input, audit and reconcile output, and researching discrepancies.
  • Establishing and maintaining a productive relationship with division contacts and internal staff in payroll, HR, benefits, and accounting; maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Rotating duties include - funding requests, report updates, and cross training.
  • Providing support for department special projects and process improvement.
  • Understanding payroll internal controls and helping to assess payroll and human resource compliance.
  • Scheduling and processing bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll jobs and subsequent activities.
  • Reconciling and balancing labor related costs.
  • Preparing intercompany cross charges, monthly journal entries and reconciling assigned general ledger and sub-ledger accounts.
  • Preparing monthly and year-end payroll calendar.

Qualifications & Skills


  • Demonstrated ability to identify, research, analyze, and resolve discrepancies and data errors; understand and communicate impact to others
  • Prior experience with automated payroll processing required, SAP experience desired.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Clear verbal and written communication.
  • Analytical and detail oriented.
  • Work within flexible priorities and sometimes short deadlines.


  • 2+ years of experience highly desired.
  • CPP Certification desired.


  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferably in accounting or general business.
