Requisition Summary

PACCAR is seeking a strong Human Resources Supervisor to join the Corporate HR team. This position, in partnership with one direct report, provides HR leadership and service to various business customers. Primary responsibilities are to provide HR support, administer HR programs and policies, participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide excellent customer service to employees and business leaders. This position is located in Bellevue, WA and reports to the Human Resources Director.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Build positive business partner relationships. Actively participate in weekly business staff meetings and provide HR guidance and consultation
  • Build positive employee relations with proactive employee communication, prompt issue resolution and fair and equitable treatment.  This includes support of local and corporate programs to promote employee goodwill and positive morale
  • Primary contact for global mobility and expatriate assignments
  • Lead annual performance management process, including goal setting, employee development, and performance appraisal and succession planning for business partners
  • Assist with compensation evaluations, affirmative action and diversity planning
  • Work in partnership with centralized recruiting to attract, onboard and retain top talent
  • Collaborate with the HR team to organize and facilitate PACCAR management and compliance training
  • Facilitate and recommend programs to support employee engagement and communications
  • Support absence management and Leave of Absence programs including FMLA, ADA, Disability, State leave programs and Worker’s Compensation
  • Partner on the exit process and provide an analysis of turnover trends to our business customers
  • Recommend employee development opportunities such as mentors, job shadow/job rotation and 360 evaluations
  • Partner with management and legal to resolve performance issues, lead workplace investigations, and recommend corrective actions. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures
  • Participate in global HR continuous improvement initiatives. Leverages existing technology in new and creative ways
  • Other duties as assigned


To be successful, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field is required. Master’s degree is strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years of broad Human Resources generalist experience required
  • Human Resources Certification desired (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
  • Prior experience successfully leading, coaching, and mentoring business leaders on HR-related topics
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and customer service orientation
  • Ability to work with employees and managers at all different levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated critical, analytical and organizational skills, ability to work independently, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Professional with excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, EEO/AA and Workers Compensation
  • Understanding and working experience with SAP and SharePoint beyond basic data entry preferred. HRIS and highly skilled with MS Office
