Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Lead team oriented projects to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Responsible for tracking team’s weekly progress in clearing AP Queue and RIP (receipts in process) reports.
  • Review supplier statements and identify discrepancies.
  • Review team’s statement aging analysis and prepare quarterly internal management reports.
  • Assist with monthly supplier statement review with other PACCAR divisions and Purchasing Department.
  • Prepare annual inventory accrual analysis to support physical counts at Divisions.
  • Resolve price/volume discrepancies or system issues related to the electronic settlement of payment to suppliers for goods received.
  • Review and research department overhead, forecast and budget reports, coordinating with other departments as their accounting representative to ensure proper accounting and management of expenditures.
  • Work directly with PACCAR suppliers to maintain positive relationship.
  • Perform month-end financial close processes, including journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Perform internal control and Sarbanes-Oxley reviews as assigned.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualification & Skills

  • Minimum one year work experience.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel (charts, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) and Access skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Deadline oriented and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to research and problem solve.
  • Positive attitude and “can-do” approach to issue resolution.

Required Education/Training

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. 
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with co-workers and others.
  • Desire to develop leadership and technical skills; pursue advancement opportunities within the company.
