Requisition Summary
Six Sigma Master Black Belts are change agents for process and product quality improvements. They are responsible for implementing Six Sigma quality methods and tools across our business and supply chain.  They, set direction and lead the way to breakthrough improvements in product and process quality.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Apply DFSS tools to improve product and process design 
  • Lead Lean Product Development initiatives with a focus on powertrain systems engineering
  • Support and develop new DFSS training incorporating agile and embedded engineering processes
  • Conduct DFSS training classes 
  • Provide analysis and feedback to senior management on new product development projects, product improvements, and work with cross-functional teams to implement improvement plans
  • Expected travel is 20%

This position is located at PACCAR Inc, Mt. Vernon, WA or Eindhoven, Netherlands

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in the application of Design for Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma toolsets including advanced statistical techniques
  • In-depth knowledge and experience working with agile product development processes
  • Understanding of Lean Product Development processes for system engineering
  • Expertise in reliability life analysis, including Weibull, Weibayes, DOE and Crow-AMSAA
  • Field and test failure statistical analysis including MTBF, correlation and test target determination
  • Experience assisting engineers with the application of reliability growth methods to development programs
  • Proven project management and leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong strategic and tactical planning skills



  • 5+ years’ experience in product design
  • 3+ years Continuous Improvement experience, specializing in DFSS training and application


  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline
  • Certified Black Belt


  • Master's degree in a technical discipline strongly preferred
  • ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
  • Advanced Data Analytics & Python Programing
  • Experience in the design of internal combustion and zero emissions powertrain
