Requisition Summary

This position is located at PACCAR’s global headquarters in downtown Bellevue, Washington, and provides an exciting opportunity to support the strategic direction of PACCAR by developing and applying analytical models that identify and quantify risk in PACCAR’s global portfolio of financial products. 


The Credit Intern will be a part of the Corporate Credit Portfolio Risk and Analysis group, supporting our global credit organization.  The intern will gain exposure and hands on experience in data analytics supporting risk assessment and risk management across its global credit portfolios, while interpreting and applying credit policies. The Intern will incorporate company goals, promotions, and programs into the decision making process.


Success in this role will hinge on your curiosity, grit, ability to work well in ambiguity, a passion for learning, and adept presentation skills.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned projects with Credit Director and manager support
  • Manage and document the full lifecycle of analytic projects
  • Assist with analysis and reporting to include:
    • Assisting in development of analytic models and validation of supporting data
    • Reporting trends in customer/franchise transactions and portfolio quality
    • Assisting with month-end and ad hoc reporting on credit transactions and portfolio quality
  • Assist in implementation of knowledge management program, supporting requirements for file documentation, organization and archiving
  • Effectively communicate analytic results that demonstrate business impacts
  • Other assignments as assigned related to the department’s strategic goals, continuous improvement and addressing business/Credit needs


  • Understands fundamental principles of statistics and analysis
  • Skilled with technology to include:
    • Highly proficient with MS Excel; familiarity with other MS Office products
    • MS Access
    • Familiarity with relational databases, SQL Server and SQL scripting
  • Familiarity with programming languages (SQL, R, Python)
  • Attention to detail, high expectations of quality, customer service oriented, desire to learn and develop analytic skills
  • Excellent communication skills , written and oral
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to complete projects on time and handle ad hoc assignments
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is a must
  • Thrive in professional business environment
  • Ability to work business hours Monday to Friday
  • Product familiarity; affinity for trucks!


  • Currently pursuing a degree in Economics, Math or Analytics-related field (Business Intelligence or Business Analytics)
  • Coursework in programming.
  • Strong Interest in Data Analytics and Information Technology.
