Division Information

PACCAR Leasing, a PACCAR division, was founded in 1980 to provide premium Kenworth and Peterbilt vehicles to leasing and rental customers. Requisition Summary

This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Contract Administration department, which includes contract funding and extensions/transfers, vehicle title processing, and working with franchises and truck divisions on the coordination of truck orders and scheduling.  This dynamic role will work to improve efficiencies in the Contract Administration process, set department and individual production goals, and prepare and distribute month end reports.  The Contract Administration Manager will work closely with the Lease Pricing Manager in developing creative pricing strategies, while understanding and maintaining PLC management's margin and profitability objectives.

This individual will also look for ways to offer alternative financing methods, finding solutions for securing business and creating a competitive advantage for PacLease. This individual must be able to make judgement calls in the structuring of a lease, ensuring that accounting, tax, and legal guidelines are maintained. The decisions made will have a direct impact on PacLease and PACCAR's profitability.

 

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Manage the team responsible for the processing of lease and loan packages for PacLease, ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly funding goals are met.
  • Complete reviews of the financial analysis of funding packages, including detailed transactions and calculations, and independent decision making on lease and loan structures.
  • Manage franchise requests, including unit transfers, lease extensions, and refinancing.
  • Manage the truck order team and process, working with the truck divisions and franchise sales teams on unit specifications, chassis assignments, and multi-unit customer orders.
  • Update the lease and loan system to maintain and add contract information, including the release of funds and disbursements for leases/loans, and the release of orders to the truck divisions.
  • Manage the title desk to secure PLC interest through vehicle titles.
  • Research and quickly resolve franchise and customer issues, follow-up on any outstanding documentation questions.
  • Develop and lead continuous improvement projects to refine the funding, orders, and title process to increase department efficiency.
  • Train new and less experienced Contract Administrators on job functions.  Ensure cross-training is completed to cover vacations and unexpected absences.
  • Work with the PLC Lease Pricing Manager on pricing strategies that will increase franchise profitability, increase fleet growth, and improve PLC’s overall sales and business objectives.
  • Generate and distribute department reports, including month-end and Quarter-end results.
  • Performs other duties and special projects, as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and ability to lead, manage, and train a team of employees in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong organization, planning, project management and independent decision-making skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, able to foster continued process improvements and be a “team player”.
  • Comfortable with financial analysis and detailed transactions and calculations.
  • Must be able to work with PACCAR/PLC Management as well as franchise/dealer personnel at all levels to develop and offer solutions, often complex situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, effective time management, and strong customer service orientation.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • College degree in business (Accounting/Finance preferred) with solid computer skills and systems knowledge highly desired.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Six Sigma certifications / experience.
  • Ability to travel periodically.
  • Four plus years in truck rental/leasing or financial industry, or related area.

 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
