Requisition Summary

This position is responsible for North America trade compliance and international logistics procurement for  PACCAR Corporate and its Divisions. The position will manage import and export compliance programs and operations. Manage the Interntational Compliance Team and customs service providers. Manage International Logistics carriers and forwarders. Support implementation of SAP GTS. Manage a team that provides customs operations support and acts as resource to suppliers, dealers, service providers, and internal customers. Manage and report duty and freight costs.  Ensure service provoiders, brokers, and forwarders and meeting KPIs.


Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Manage the International Logistics and Compliance Team at PACCAR Corporate with responsibility for U.S., Canada, and Mexico import and export compliance for North American Divisions.
  • Negotiate and manage International Logistics contracts with air and ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.  Ensure business partners are meeting established KPIs.
  • Support SAP GTS implementation, training, and maintenance.
  • Assist Divisions with export requirements and audit AES filings to ensure export compliance.
  • Manage USMCA program including supplier solicitations, manufactured part qualification, and USMCA government reporting requirements.
  • Manage Denied Party Screening and sanctions compliance.
  • Manage post entry activities including post entry corrections, protests, reconciliation, and prior disclosures as needed.
  • Support duty savings programs including Free Trade Agreements, Duty Drawback, CBSA Annex 9963, etc.
  • Manage duty payments and third-party freight payment billing for all carriers.
  • Track and report logistics and customs industry updates and impacts throughout the organization.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of US & Canada Customs laws
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, customer service-based department
  • Experience managing teams
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics or International-related field required
  • 5 years of experience in Trade Compliance required
  • Licensed U.S. Customs Broker required
  • Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally
  • Motivated, self-starter with excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills Management/supervisory experience required
  • Six Sigma experience desired
  • Certified Export Specialist desired
